1.4 Hazardous waste means any waste defined as hazardous, special, or controlled waste under applicable UK legislation, including but not limited to asbestos, chemicals, solvents, oils, clinical waste, gas bottles, and certain electrical or electronic items.

1.5 You or Customer means the person, company, or organisation requesting the Service.

1.6 We, us or our means the provider of the waste collection service described in this document.

2. Scope of Service

2.1 We provide waste collection services for domestic and commercial customers in Tufnell Park and surrounding areas, including the loading, transport, and disposal or recycling of suitable waste materials.

3.3 A booking is not confirmed until we have accepted your request and provided you with a booking confirmation, which may be given verbally, by email, or by message.

3.4 We will endeavour to attend on the agreed date and within any estimated time window, but timings are not guaranteed. We are not liable for any loss, cost, or inconvenience caused by delay or rescheduling, save where such delay is due to our gross negligence.

4. Access and Customer Responsibilities

4.1 You are responsible for providing clear, safe, and reasonable access to the Premises and to the waste to be collected. This includes arranging any necessary permissions for access through communal or third party areas.

4.2 You must ensure that any parked vehicles, obstacles, or locked gates that would prevent or delay collection are removed or opened before our arrival.

4.3 If we are unable to complete the Service due to lack of access, health and safety concerns, or incorrect information, we may charge a call-out fee to cover our time and costs.

4.4 You agree to provide accurate information regarding the nature of the waste. You must notify us in advance if any items may contain hazardous materials or require special handling.

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Our prices are typically based on the volume and type of waste, labour involved, access conditions, and disposal or recycling charges. An initial guideline price may be given at booking, with the final price confirmed on site once the waste is inspected.

5.2 All prices are quoted in pounds sterling and may be subject to VAT where applicable. Unless otherwise stated, prices do not include any additional charges for special or hazardous waste.

5.3 Payment is due on completion of the Service, unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance. We accept common payment methods such as cash, debit or credit card, or bank transfer, subject to availability at the time of collection.

5.4 For commercial customers or account holders, we may issue an invoice payable within a specified number of days. Late payment may result in interest charges and recovery costs, in line with applicable UK legislation.

5.5 If the amount of waste is greater than originally described, or if additional labour, time, or specialised services are required, we will inform you of any extra costs before proceeding. If you refuse the revised quotation, we reserve the right to cancel the Service and charge a reasonable call-out fee.

6. Cancellations and Rescheduling

6.1 You may cancel or reschedule your booking by giving at least 24 hours notice prior to the agreed collection time. No cancellation fee will normally apply if proper notice is given.

6.2 If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or if we attend the Premises and are unable to complete the Service due to your act, omission, or failure to provide access, we may charge a full or partial fee to cover our costs and lost time.

6.3 We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule the Service due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, traffic disruptions, vehicle breakdown, staff illness, safety concerns, or legal restrictions. In such cases, we will seek to notify you as soon as reasonably possible and rearrange the Service at a mutually convenient time.

7. Waste Regulations and Environmental Compliance

7.1 We operate in accordance with UK waste management legislation and relevant environmental regulations. We will only transfer waste to appropriately licensed or permitted facilities for disposal or recycling.

7.2 We will, where required, carry a valid waste carrier registration issued by the appropriate authority, and we will handle Waste in a responsible manner to minimise environmental impact, subject to operational and commercial practicality.

7.3 By using our Service, you confirm that you have the right to dispose of the Waste and that it does not include any prohibited or unauthorised materials. You also confirm that you understand your duty of care in relation to waste transfer and that you will cooperate with us in fulfilling any legal requirements.

7.4 We may refuse to remove any items that we reasonably believe may breach waste regulations or pose a significant risk to health, safety, or the environment.

8. Liability and Limitations

8.1 We will use reasonable care when carrying out the Service at your Premises. However, you acknowledge that the movement of heavy or bulky items, and access through confined spaces, can pose a risk of minor damage to property, surfaces, or fixtures.

8.2 We do not accept liability for wear and tear, pre-existing damage, or unavoidable marks or scratches that may occur when moving large or heavy items through narrow or restricted areas, provided we exercise reasonable care and skill.

8.3 You should take reasonable steps to protect flooring, walls, doorways, and other surfaces before the Service is carried out. If you have any particular concerns about fragile or high-value areas, you must highlight these to us in advance.

8.4 Our total liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Service, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall be limited to the amount paid or payable by you for the specific Service in question, except where liability cannot be limited or excluded as a matter of law.

8.5 We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

8.6 We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or similar economic loss suffered by you or any third party as a result of the Service.

9. Ownership of Items and Abandonment

9.1 By presenting Waste for collection and allowing us to remove it, you confirm that you either own the items or have the full authority of the owner to dispose of them.

9.2 Once we have removed the Waste, ownership passes to us or to the authorised disposal facility, and you will not be entitled to have the items returned.

9.3 You must ensure that any items you wish to keep are clearly separated from the Waste. We accept no liability if items are removed in error due to lack of clear instruction or separation.

10. Health and Safety

10.1 We take health and safety seriously and expect customers to cooperate with reasonable safety measures while the Service is being carried out.

10.2 You must keep children, pets, and uninvolved persons away from the working area during the collection and loading of Waste.

10.3 We may suspend or refuse the Service if conditions at the Premises present an unacceptable risk to our operatives or to others.

11. Data Protection and Privacy

11.1 We may collect and process personal data such as your name, contact details, and address for the purpose of administering bookings, providing the Service, and handling payments or queries.

11.2 We will handle your personal information in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws and retain it only for as long as necessary for legal and operational purposes.

12. Complaints and Disputes

12.2 We will investigate complaints promptly and aim to reach a fair resolution, which may include a partial refund, re-attendance, or other appropriate remedy where justified.
